Townsville’s favourite bakery

Phelan's Pies Townsville is a local favourite pie shop and bakery. Founded in Townsville in 1994 with the opening of the Mooney St store, six years later the company expanded with new premises on Forest Avenue. Each store has always been operated as family businesses with the current owners, the Myers family, having purchased the stores in 2009. Darren and Linda run the Forest Avenue shop and Dean operates at Mooney St.

Phelan's Pies are an iconic pastry of the North Qld area, well known for our pies, pasties, sausage rolls and the original mushy peas. We stock a variety of bakery products, with a focus on Phelan's products which are still manufactured in the Burdekin by the Phelan family from the original recipe of 1962.

Products are transported twice a week in a raw condition and baked off on premises daily as required. In the last 4 years we have introduced Pie Drives for local Fundraising events and in the last 3 years have launched a wholesaling service into a number of smaller outlets throughout the Townsville area including takeaways, service stations and convenience stores. This is in line with our commitment to provide for the demand of our Phelan's products.
